The Department of ECE was established in the year 2002-03 with an intake of 60.The present intake is 120.M Tech Program in VLSI & Embedded Systems was started in 2009 with an intake of 18 in each Programe. The department is equipped with modern and state of laboratories and it is functioning with well experienced and qualified teaching staff. The department is located in the 2nd floor.
In our ECE Department, academic results are excellent with an average of 75-80% in First, Second, Third & Fourth years respectively. The final year students are doing projects at various prestigious organizations like BDL, ECIL, DLRL, DRDO, NRSA, and BHEL Etc. The department has technical association named futronics ISTE students chapter IETE students chapter NSS and NCC unit.
The department Library has 215 books exclusively for department and also various CDs including SONET CDs are available.

Academic Achievements:
The first, second, third & fourth batch students performed very well and achieved a very good passing result. And 60% of the passed out students are employed in various organizations and more than 30% students are persuing MS abroad.
Sarath Prasad of II/IV ECE stood first in the event paper presentation, in PRERANA-09 conducted by SNIST.
K.Mahesh Babu and A.Malla reddy of II/IV ECE stood second place in the event of ROBOTICs, Laborynith conducted by Vasavi College of Engineering & Technology.
Mr. Sandeep of III/IV ECE stood second place in the event of Poster presentation conducted by VNR Vignan Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology.
